The "one from across the channel" is a really nice bay calico! Gonna have to get back out there...

Good stuff Don. I heard there's a spot down by Los Alamitos Bay where they fix kayaks.

I can help with the leaks.
If you look on Hobie forum there are other people with that problem.
If it's not bad I have a few solution BUT I would need to look at the kayak.

I'm back from a six week stay with family members in the Midwest. It was very cold and fishing was very poor. I only caught one decent smallie and
even forgot the camera so no pic.
Ken and I went to Newport yesterday, I picked up five bass and 2 Mac's. Waves were breaking over the jetty wall and it was way to lumpy to stay by
the bait barge.
I finally found the source of the leak in my kayak. Both scupper holes had vertical hairline cracks which I thought were scratches since I couldn't
see down the tubes very well. Now the little cracks are great big cracks and I see them clearly. I tried to weld them with a plastic welder but I
can't weld in a hole. Don't know what to do.
I was happy with the size of the fish, they bend my 5-6 weight like they are monsters.
Looks like a beautiful day to fish.
