The LBCC headed up to the Lower O for a trout fishing weekend.
Dan and I drove up Thursday and where on the water by 10:30 Am. Nothing was happening so we had lunch and hoped for a better afternoon.
Finally the fish start to cooperate.
I had 4 fish for the day, all that size.
Friday I meet up with my young Jedi Apprentice Nick.
Once again nothing happened in the morning but after lunch we started to get fish.
Here is Nick with his best fish of the weekend on a nymph.
He had 6 fish by the end of the day!
I had a great time teach a great young guy how to fish the dark side.
I fished Saturday and it was cold and windy and few fish where caught.
Sunday we hit the water from 9 to 11 and I had a big zero and we headed home.
Great to see some new snow in the Sierra Mark! Looks like you were swinging articulated baitfish patterns, from the first photo of that brownie.
Nothing wrong with fishing “the dark side” either - catches a lot more (big) fish that dainty dry flies.
