SD Bay - 5/24

Launched out of Bayside Park down in Chula Vista this morning. Sky was grey with a brisk wind out of the west with a little bit of a drizzle thrown in just for fun. The wind, first out of the west then out of the northwest, made for some lumpy conditions and made staying on the channel edges a bit of a challenge.

We were fishing in a nursery this morning. Lots of enthusiastic small spotties today. I finished with 34 fish to hand. All but three under 10" and a few too many under 7". What they lacked in size they made up with aggression. Lots of hard grabs but not too much tugging today. I did have two sweet little corvina (10" and 11") to break up the string of smallish spotties.

Water temp was 68-69F as May Grey has settled in down here cooling off the south bay a bit.

Life is good. Eternal life is better!
