HH 7-13-2018

With a good morning tide we hit the water by 6:20.
And we where not disappointed.
A good bite all morning.
2nd fish 15 inches.
And a nice double.
Steve with a nice fish and a killer clam.https://s19.postimg.cc/5t46lep5v/IMG_2367.jpg
What is the IGFA record for a clam on a fly?
I landed 15 and had another 10 on.
Steve must have had a 25 or 30.
Colin caught some nice models as well.

What a great day to be out.

The fish were really biting good today. Just about every drift from the bridge caught a fish, or better yeat, a double. Nice to see HH producing good numbers of fish again. Over the winter we had too many single digit days.

The navy even stopped traffic to make fishing easier. If anyone got near the bridge, the navy yelled at them with a bullhorn and turned them around. So the other boats floated around further back back in the bay, leaving the area from the bridge to almost the 3 buoy all to the kayaks. How nice!

Looks like the summer bass bite is in full swing now. Newport has been real good lately too. Time to get out and fish.
