Alamitos Bay Oct 1

Thanks to my neighbor, I got my priorities fixed and went fishing today. We did the AB thing, him from the shore of the first beach and me from my yak. I managed to find the bass between the docks and the rocks across the entrance channel. They were hanging shallow and liked a standard root beer crazy dad quite a bit. I hooked about 15 fish, landing only 8, in a couple hours over there, losing the biggest ones which wrapped me on structure or exchanged themselves for weed clumps.

Could not find fish elsewhere. Neighbor was getting some hits but only hooked a ray. The tide was wild, gushing in and gushing out and gushing around, swirling with strange currents I have never seen here. The water was also unpleasantly dirty in some places.
