haven't fished nph in awhile so decided to give it a go today. day did not start out well with 1) a late 9 am launch time (thank you work) 2)
launching exactly at slack tide 3) losing my entire rig on my second cast
but once i got a new rig on the fish gods seem to smile upon me. found a steady supply of bay bass along the byc boats that made for a delightful
session. water was cool (59-60 F). also still very murky from the previous storm. quite a bit of debris in the water especially just after the tide
shifted to outgoing.
hot fly today was a crazy dad. both tiger and tan/brown colors got equal numbers. added treat was that today flies seem to be outfishing conventional.
don't know why that makes me happy but it does.
