I bought an older action camera to play with in the salt.
That way if I wreck it I'm only out 30 clams.
Here is a little movie from today

15 fish today -- 2 doubles.
Much more fun than 1 fish...Grin.

Hey All,

I went out 12/23 with a couple of buddies to the same area. The fish were spread out, no real concentration, but there were fish to fool. I caught 14 spotties, including 3-4 doubles. Nothing legal, but lots of almost legal fish and not too many dinks. That was decent catching in my book. The hot orange Crazy Dad did most of the catching for me; that's another one-off experimental fly that will have to be duplicated.

I was part of Kevin's group that went out on 12/23 and had the best luck closest to the PCH bridge, most of which were caught on a Liberace Clouser. Also caught a couple on a Crazy Dad. Water was really moving, so it was a real workout. Ended the day with 14 to the yak with a few bonehead misses. Had a mix of spotties and sandies, with one mackerel.
